We are Brian and Yolanda Clargo and we have been SCUBA diving together for 46 years all over our wonderful underwater world. We have documented our travels in still and video photography and want to reach out to the diving and aquatic world and share our experiences from our over 1,300 dives together from the Antarctic to Tahiti, the Red Sea to Cocos, Bikini and Truk to Scapa Flow and many, many others. Come with us on our journey

Leopard Seal - Scuba Diving in the Antarctic

Leopard seals are large, agile and aggressive predators living and hunting in the harsh, desolate environment of the Antarctic. This book describes an expedition to the Antarctic Peinisula when seven dives were made in freezing conditions amongst the icebergs and islands and during two of them, leopard seals came intimidtingly close to the divers. This book is the story of the expedition, and it is hoped that this will be interesting to those who dive, inspiring to those who don’t (yet) dive and will entertain those who love to travel and those for whom Antarctica holds its allure.

Diving to Titanic - A Day to Remember

This is the true story of how an unknown couple, Brian and Yolanda Clargo from Devon in the UK, dived to the Titianic wreck 3,800 metres under the North Atlantin in August 2005. They were invited to join an expedition on the Research vessel Akademik Mstislav Keldysh, the ship featured in the film ‘Titanic’ and dived in a MIR submersible with the world-famous underwater explorer Dr Anatoly Sagalevich as their pilot. There was an incident when during the dive, the submersible controls failed and they were swept off the wreck by the current and forced to carry out a crash landing next to the wreck. Their pilot, the MIR designer and Chief Scientist was able to resolve this issue on the seabed averting escalation and this incident has not previously been reported except in Brian’s presentations to the diving world. Their dive was one of the last made by the MIR submersibles, just befoire the 14 year break in manned exploration from 2005 to 2019. This book is lavishly illustrated with 189 photographs and detailed analysis of the routes taken over the wreck. There are few accounts regarding what it is like to undertake such an expedition from a personal point of view and this book will appeal to any Titanic aficianodo with 74 original photographs, taken by the author

Sharks In The Pass - Scuba Diving in French Polynesia and Easter Island

The beautiful coral atolls of the Tuamotu Archpelago are home to thousands of sharks that feed in the narrow channels known as ‘passes’ where the water flows in and out of the encircled lagoons when the tide changes. It is possible to scuba dive in these passes when the tide comes in, by ‘hooking in’ to the pass floor with a reef hook to overcome the incredidble currents, surrounded by hundreds of sharks, snappers, manta rays and all the indigenous reef fish. When breathing gas gets low or decompression becomes an issue, divers unhook and ‘fly the pass’ which brings an exciting and adreneline filled high speed ride in the current ending in the lagoon where the currents dissipate. This book describes three expeditions made to the Tuamotu Archipelago to scuba dive and pass fly by diving couple Brian and Yolanda Clargo and is a detailed guide to six atolls and their passes with accounts of dives made with 190 photographs (118 underwater) and 49 maps. On the last expedition, a detour was made to dive at Easter Island, one of the most remote places on Earth and to experience the ancient monuments which simply do not exist anywhere else.
